An Evening of Hope

On November 7, 2015 Cleveland’s IVC and Cleveland’s ISP (Ignatian Spirituality Project) hosted a wonderful Evening of Hope at the St. Ignatius HS Breen Center. A reception and presentation of the ISP’s Company of Grace award to The Labre programs of St. Ignatius, John Carroll Univ and CWRU & the IVC Madonna della Strada award to activist and Program Director  Carl H. Cook. The award presentions were followed by the one-man, one-act portrayal of the journey of the spiritual author and Trappist monk Thomas Merton by actor and playwright James Nagle. It was a wonderful evening!!

New Agencies for 2015/16

Organizations in the Cleveland area do a remarkable job working to meet the needs of people who are materially poor. However, most will say that there are simply not enough resources to meet the needs. As it becomes more difficult to pay for skilled staff members, nonprofit agencies increasingly look to volunteers to help fulfill their missions.

And the experience is remarkably rewarding too!  We welcomed three new partnership agencies this Fall:

Catholic Relief Services

Newman Campus Ministries

Catholic Social Services (Columbus)

 Ongoing Partner Agencies

Migration and Refugee Services

St, Martin de Porres HS

St. Augustine Hunger Center

Arrupe House

St. Mary’s of the Falls parish Outreach program

Trials for Hope

Metro Catholic Parish School

Agency placements still not filled

St Vincent de Paul Society- job readiness evaluation

Padua High School-administrative duties in main and development offices

please contact Cathy at cduer@ivcusa.org  if interested
