Become a Volunteer

"God has been good to me and I want to give something back."

This is the continuing refrain spoken by the men and women who have joined IVC-men and women who feel the presence of God in their lives and wish to respond by serving the God who calls us through the voices of our brothers and sisters who are poor.

Where is the IVC program?
While IVC is a national organization, the program is local.  Volunteers live in their own homes and volunteer in their communities. We are currently located in the cities and regions listed on the left of your screen. If you live in or near a current IVC region, then we invite you to click on one of the cities and find out more about the program in your area.

If you don't see your city or region highlighted, IVC has not yet reached your area.  We ask that you Contact Us to tell us of your interest.  We keep track of this information and use it to determine where we will expand the program.

I’m interested! What happens next?

Contact the regional director in your city area to discuss the program.  If IVC appears to be a good fit for you, the next step is to submit an application and interview with the regional director.  If you are accepted into the program, your service will usually begin in September or January.  The regional director will help you determine which IVC partner service site will suit your talents.  You will also be paired with a spiritual reflector trained in Ignatian spirituality.

Have more questions?  Please visit the FAQ section of the website or contact the regional director in your area.
