Supporting the Ignatian Volunteer Corps

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) depends on individuals, corporations, and foundations to support Ignatian Volunteers working
in community agencies and programs that provide housing and shelter, emergency assistance, education, child care, immigrant and refugee services, healthcare, hospice care, counseling, job training, and personal support to children, families, and adults who are poor and marginalized.

Your gifts help Ignatian Volunteers meet the needs of people who are materially poor in urban areas across the country, including Baltimore, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City/Northern New Jersey, Omaha, Philadelphia, San Diego, St. Louis, and Washington DC/Northern Virginia.

Every gift is used to recruit, train, place, and support Ignatian Volunteers – men and women age 50 and better – living out their Gospel call to be men and women for others.  Today, 253 Ignatian Volunteers are serving 213 community agencies and programs in thirteen regional programs across the country.

There are several ways you can support the Ignatian Volunteer Corps.

Personal Gifts
IVC accepts checks and cash.  Please print this form, fill it out and mail it with your donation to:

Ignatian Volunteer Corps
801 St. Paul Street
Baltimore, MD  21202

You can designate your gift to IVC National or to one of our thirteen regional programs.

You may make a credit card donation online through Network for Good

Matching Gifts
IVC participates in matching gift programs with employers across the country.  Please check with your employer to see if your gift qualifies, and send any necessary paperwork with your gift to IVC.

Estate Gifts
You may wish to support IVC today and in the future.  Legacy gifts can be created by including IVC in your will or by naming IVC as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.  Your financial advisor or attorney can give more information about these and other ways to make a gift that will benefit you and your family.

Stock Gifts
We prefer gifts of stock to IVC be made via electronic transfer, rather than mailing actual stock certificates.

If you are giving a security, please verify with your broker that the stock is eligible for electronic delivery over the Depository Trust Company (DTC) system.  This works for most stocks, but some securities have specific transfer instructions.

Stock may be transferred directly to IVC’s brokerage account via Merrill Lynch – DTC 5198, account number 749-04H85, Ignatian Lay Volunteer Corps.

Please note that we will liquidate all donations of securities as soon as possible.  The date of your gift is the date on which your electronic transfer is received into the IVC account.  The tax-deductible value of your gift is the average share price on the date of your gift multiplied by the number of shares given.

Once you've made a transfer, please contact Tamara Zavislan, IVC Director of Development, by phone at 410-752-4686 or by email to inform IVC of the proposed donation and to ensure that you receive a prompt receipt of your gift for your tax records.

Please contact Tamara Zavislan, IVC Director of Development, if you have any questions.

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.  A copy of our current financial statement is available upon request by contacting IVC at 801 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 or 410-752-4686.
