IVC Cleveland has numerous partner Service Sites just waiting for an Ignatian Volunteer. Some of the open opportunities are:
Cleveland Suburban East Side Catholic College:
Needs a volunteer to identify at-risk students (non-academic reasons) and create a network of support to help them deal with the pressures keeping them from achieving a college diploma. This would involve networking with various departments on campus and could take the form of student support groups led by the IVC volunteer.
Cleveland Suburban East Side Catholic College:
Needs a volunteer who is a compassionate and trained individual who creates an atmosphere of hospitality and respect while directing the work of tutors and students in an adult literacy classroom. This person is responsible for interpreting the results of formal assessments, creating and implementing individual learning plans, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, ensuring proper documentation, and communicating with students and tutors.
