The Spirit of God is a movin’ in Northern Virginia!
In May 2005 Ignatian Volunteers in the Northern Virginia Region of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps numbered seven. Today they number 35 women and men, all age 50 or better, who share their skills, talents, and life experiences to help meet the needs of people in their community who are poor and to address issues related to poverty. Lawyers, nurses, teachers, managers, labor relations specialists, information technologists, librarians, and social workers are included in the ranks of the Volunteers.
