IVC New York is in its eleventh year, with 30 volunteers and 19 partner service sites in direct service to people who are materially poor in New York City, Long Island, and northern New Jersey.

IVC New York Volunteers work in a variety of settings among children, families, and adults who are in need, providing nursing and hospice care, domestic violence counseling, emergency services, affordable housing assistance, services for immigrants, tutoring and after-school care, ESL and GED classes, mental health services, food and shelter assistance, inmate counseling, and child care.

In New York City, IVC is the only organization for senior volunteers that offers a spiritual program of support designed to build long-term relationships between the volunteer, the community agency and the person served.  IVC works to build stronger communities by enabling faith-filled, experienced men and women to live out their Gospel call, giving their skills, knowledge, and time to community and grassroots organizations throughout the metropolitan area.
