2011-2012 INFORMATION SESSIONS
IVC information sessions are held on a regular basis in New York City, Long Island, & New Jersey.   Dates are subject to change, so please call (201-618-6924) or email Liz McMahon, Regional Director to confirm your attendance.  If you are not able to attend one of the scheduled sessions and wish to discuss program details, contact Liz to schedule a convenient time to learn more about IVC.

2011-2012 MONTHLY MEETINGS
Ignatian Volunteers meet monthly September through June for two hours of prayer & discussion. The Northern NJ chapter meets the first Thursday morning at the Loyola Retreat House in Morristown; the Nassau Long Island chapter meets the 2nd Wednesday afternoon at Saint Anthony Jesuit Parish in Oceanside; the NYC chapter meets the third Thursday morning at the Jesuit Residence on East 83rd Street. Monthly meetings are reserved for active Ignatian Volunteers who have been accepted into the program and are placed at a service site. Our meetings are held at Jesuit parish & retreat house locations where the daily Mass coincides with the meeting time. Volunteers can attend Mass either before or after the meeting depending on location.

SPECIAL EVENT

The IVC New York Regional Council will host the 5th Annual Della Strada Award Reception on May 10, 2012 at Regis High School in New York City.  More to follow.

The Della Strada Award is named after Santa Maria della Strada, the first church used by St. Ignatius and the early Jesuits to serve the urban poor in the center of Rome. The award honors an individual or an organization whose life and/or mission reflects the Ignatian values of service to the poor, and of working and educating for a more just society.
