The 2011 gatherings for all IVC Volunteers and Reflectors of the Philadelphia/South Jersey Region will be held at:

Our meetings are presently scheduled for 1:00 – 3:00 PM on the third Monday of the month on the following dates:

For the 2011-2012 year, there will be two Days of Recollection and a Summer Retreat, all to be held at:

At this year’s meetings, we will be reading and discussing Tomorrow’s Catholic by Michael Morwood. The book will be made available at the September 19.  The Introduction and Chapter 1 will be discussed at the November 21 meeting.

Ignatian Volunteers take part in National Community Day

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, eight IVC Philadelphia/S Jersey volunteers prepared and served lunch to homeless men who come to Old St. Joseph’s Church in Society Hill in Philadelphia for spiritual as well as physical nourishment. Ignatian Volunteers participated in the 4th annual National Community Day under the auspices of St. Joseph’s University. Hundreds of enthusiastic students from SJU manned volunteer sites across the Delaware Valley region.  Rich Brennan, site leader for Old St. Joseph’s, arranged the visit from the “Hawk who never dies!”
